The VSLS Education Foundation offers a scholarship each year to a student nearing graduation from an accredited land surveying program. The goal is to to support the development of talented new surveyors as they enter the profession.
Who is eligible to apply?
Vermont residents who have resided in Vermont for a minimum of two years during completion of a High School education or equivalent, and, who are in their final year and about to graduate from an educational institution offering an ABET accredited land or geodetic surveying program. The program must grant a degree or certificate as required for licensure in Vermont under 26 V.S.A. §2592(a)(1) or (2) and Rules Of the Vermont Board of Land Surveyors, Part 2.4 (a) (1) or 2.5 (a) (1).

How are they awarded?
Selection is made by the Board of Directors of the VSLS Education Foundation. Selection is based on academic performances, financial obligations (debt should be equal to or greater than above listed scholarship award), and potential for future contribution to the land surveying profession. Payment will be made by check payable to the school, appropriate lending institution or organization that the recipient is indebted to for his/her education.
When are the scholarships awarded?
The scholarship winner will be notified by June 30 of each year. The award and check will be presented at the VSLS Fall Conference or the December Round Tables, depending on which program the recipient is able to attend.

Completed applications and all supporting materials must be returned to the Vermont Society of Land Surveyors and postmarked on or before June 1 of each year.
